Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe would like to inform you that The Young Women Forum will be visiting 3 organisations namely Teenage Mothers’, Mashambanzou and St Giles as part of their outreach activities to make a difference in their lives in the Month of May.

The Young Women’s Steering Committee is therefore kindly asking for donations in form of clothes, shoes, sanitary pads and food stuff and any other items that you think will add value to above persons in these homes.   Proposed dates for the visits:

Saturday, 7 May 2011 – Mashambanzou
Saturday, 14 May 2011 – St Giles
Saturday, 21 May 2011- Teenage Mothers

The Young Women’s Forum is a network of young women aged between 18-30 from the Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe. It is a space for young women to network and share ideas of issues affecting young women in the country.  The steering committee is made up of 7 people from different organizations.

Names of the steering committee:

  • Nancy Nhendodzashe: Zimbabwe Women’s Resource Centre Network (ZWRCN)
  • Diana Chidede: Disabled Women’s Support Organisation (DWSO)
  • Rutendo Mudzamiri: Young Women African Leaders Movement (YWALM)
  • Nyasha Zvomunya: Zimbabwe Young Women’s Network for Peace Building (ZYWNP)
  • Dorcas Makaza: Women in Law in Southern Africa (WLSA)
  • Rachel Goba: Women Land in Zimbabwe (WLZ)
